                  CARLOS PALOMARES

Carlos hails from the community of San Luis Potosi, Oaxaca, home to world renowned mezcal.  Carlos is a Grabador en linoleo, engraving his art in linoleum.  We like the depiction of the nocturnal bat agave pollinators, and admire his detailed creations.  Carlos has an extensive portfolio.  We enjoyed this selection.

Bats play a crucial role in agave pollination, and have done so for millenia.  The Mexican and Lesser long-nosed bats co-exist with agaves and their flowers which provide an ideal feast for bats who in turn pollinate the agaves.
